There are different causes of vertigo depending upon whether the cause is peripheral or it is central. If the vertigo arise in brain or spinal cord the cause is central and if it is associated with the inner ear the cause is peripheral. The inner ear can become swollen because of many issues like illness or crystals within the inner ear, when these crystals are not at their actual place can make small hair cells uncomfortable which are lying within the semicircular canals, so this can be a cause of North Vancouver vertigo. And this called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
